Kala’s Dance Academy was founded on 8th April 2010 by Ssonia Deshmukh, a passionate dancer, choreographer, and educator, in honour of her Guru and guiding light, Kalavati Aai. The name Kala’s carries deep emotional and cultural significance — a tribute to the legacy of her Guru, whose teachings and values continue to shape every aspect of the academy’s philosophy.
What began as a small initiative to spread the joy of dance has grown into a thriving institution, known for its commitment to artistic excellence and personal growth. Over the years, Kala’s has trained hundreds of students, building not just dancers, but a strong community connected by rhythm, discipline, and expression.
From humble beginnings, Kala’s has grown to become a respected name in the dance fraternity — not just as a learning center, but as a creative partner for major events across India and abroad. The academy has led choreography and production for annual school shows, inter-school and national dance competitions, university events, corporate functions, and grand wedding performances, leaving a mark wherever dance has a place.
